Passive Solar Rules of Thumb, Review of your Plans, Site Analysis
I can guide and advise you about passive solar design principles, whether from scratch or for a review of plans you have already produced. Passive solar design is all about responding to the local and natural environment, and meeting the environmental conditions in a way which best utilises what nature has to offer, being sun, shade, wind, topography, view, existing ecology and natural setting.
A site analysis is a key and vital foundation for anybody wishing to develop or build. It is important and highly valuable to recognise what the advantages are of your site. Site-specific design is a passionate interest of mine. A key text is George Seddon's "A Sense of Place".
Please contact me for a quote if you would like more than one session of advice about your site, or simply request a meeting at hourly rates.
